Company Overview
Tsuki Tora is a San Antonio, Texas–based Japanese pop culture shop and cosplay atelier founded in 2026 by Abby, an anime and Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) enthusiast, apparel and costume designer, and virtual creator known as Winter Guardian.
Built on a passion for fandom, creativity, and community, Tsuki Tora strives to bring fans closer to the series and characters they love. Our mission is to offer officially licensed merchandise from niche and beloved franchises at fair, market-competitive prices, alongside custom, one-of-a-kind creations inspired by fandoms of all kinds. From discovering hard-to-find merchandise to bringing imaginative costume concepts to life, Tsuki Tora celebrates the many ways people express their love for the stories that inspire them.
The name Tsuki Tora combines the Japanese words tsuki (月), meaning “moon,” and tora (虎), meaning “tiger.” Together, these symbols reflect both the founder's personal journey and the philosophy at the heart of the brand. The tiger pays homage to Abby's alma mater, Louisiana State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Textile Design and Merchandising. LSU's beloved mascot, Mike the Tiger, serves as a meaningful connection between her academic background and the identity of Tsuki Tora. The moon, meanwhile, represents the ever-changing phases of life and the many ways people move through the world. Just as the moon shifts between quiet darkness and radiant brilliance, people experience seasons of introspection, growth, and self-expression. Tsuki Tora embraces every phase, celebrating the individuality that makes each fan's journey unique.
At its core, Tsuki Tora is about more than merchandise and costumes. It is about creating opportunities for people to connect through shared passions, discover new interests, and feel welcomed in a community that celebrates creativity and fandom without stigma. Whether someone is a longtime collector, a dedicated cosplayer, a casual anime enthusiast, or a creative soul searching for their next inspiration, Tsuki Tora hopes to offer a place where everyone can find something to love.
Looking toward the future, Tsuki Tora dreams of establishing a dedicated retail space featuring a manga café—a welcoming gathering place where fans can browse their favorite series, enjoy a cozy atmosphere, share creative pursuits, and meet fellow anime lovers. Until that dream becomes reality, Tsuki Tora is committed to building the foundations of a vibrant, inclusive fandom community, one creation, one discovery, and one connection at a time.
